March Bookish Update
Hello, fellow book lover, hope you had a great month!
This month was not a good reading month for me.
I decided to give the ACOTAR series a chance and am now finding myself in a bit of a reading slump.
I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m not attached enough to the character, or if it’s just because of all the worldbuilding that makes the story hard to follow when listening to the audiobook.
Unfortunately, I don’t have enough free time to be able to sit down and read as much as my heart desires. And so most of my reading is through audiobooks.
Audiobooks have saved me from the sadness of not having time to read.
I listen to audiobooks as I walk to and from work, while I’m cooking and cleaning and when I’m getting ready in the morning.
If it wasn’t for audiobooks, I would never be able to have this newsletter because it would take me weeks if not months to finish a book.
After listening to numerous audiobooks, I've realized that for certain books, I find it necessary to sit down and read them rather than listen.
And A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas is one of them.
If you have the choice, opt for the physical book or ebook version for fantasy and non-fiction books, and the audio version for all other books with lighter writing or content.
If you want to read more about how audiobooks rekindled my love for reading, you can read about it here.

Finished Reading:
Overall I really enjoyed reading this book. The writing is beautiful and easy to read, the world is well-built and the characters are captivating.
I enjoyed it so much that halfway through the book, I got the second book ready to read right away.
Currently Reading:
Very similar feelings to the first book, but I'm getting lost sometimes and have to go back a few pages. It's really frustrating and makes me not want to keep reading.
